How to publish content to another page

How to publish content to another intranet page

Use these instructions to publish content from a news, blog, forum or calendar page on the intranet, to another intranet page where that information is relevant. Content publishing allows you to start adding the content of your news, blog, forum, or calendar pages to other areas of the intranet as soon as you create the page. You can only publish content to pages that you have edit permission on.

Published content will appear in the center column subscription area of the page to which the content has been published. You must edit the page that is receiving the published content to change the number or arrangement of items displayed in the content subscription.

In edit mode, click text beside "Content publishing"

  • Step 1: Navigate to the news, blog, forum, or calendar page whose content you want to publish to another area of the intranet.
  • Step 2: Click "Edit" in the top right to go into edit mode.
  • Step 3: Click the text beside "Content publishing" under "Settings" on the right side. The settings dialog will appear.
  • Step 4: In the text box under "Content publishing", start typing the name of the intranet page on which you want your published content to appear.

  • Step 5: Click on the name of the page in the dropdown list that appears. The page name will appear below.
  • Step 6: Click "Done" in the settings dialog.
  • Step 7: Click "Save" on the edit page.
If the page you are publishing content from already has posts or events on it, you can now visit the page that you have published content to, and see these posts or events displaying in the center column news subscription.

Stop a page from publishing content

There are two ways to accomplish this. You can either visit the page that the content is being published to and remove the content subscription from that page. Or, you can visit the page that is publishing content out, and remove pages that are receiving content, following the instructions below.
  • Step 1: Navigate to the page where the content is coming from.
  • Step 2: Click "Edit" in the top right to go into edit mode.
  • Step 3: Click the text beside "Content publishing" under "Settings" on the right side. The settings dialog will appear.
  • Step 4: Click the trashcan icon beside the name of the page you want to stop receiving published content.
