Make a user an administrator

How to make a user a ThoughtFarmer administrator

Giving a user administrator access means they can access the Administration panel and perform any task there. It also means they can bypass all security on pages throughout ThoughtFarmer when they enter "Admin mode". To see who has administrator access and to manage the site administrator please see Manage administrators.

To make a user an administrator:

  1. Go to the ThoughtFarmer Administration Panel: Users & security section > User management page.
  2. Use the filter, sort, and query tools to find the desired user (see Find users for more info).
  3. Click the gear icon in the Action column to the right of the user, and click Edit account in the menu that opens.
  4. Select the checkbox "Allow this user to administer Intranet?" (where Intranet is your intranet's name) in the Account Information section.


  5. Click Save.
The Edit user account link is also available to administrators in the lower left when editing a user's profile.
